FAQs

Shine Thru Inc

Have a question about our cleaning or holiday lighting services? We have the answer.

Check out these FAQs and give us a call today for more information!

  • What happens if there is rain or poor weather in the forecast on the day of my scheduled work?

We work rain or shine, and we fully guarantee our work. If bad weather is forecasted, we will still show up and do a great job. Reach out to learn more about our services, including power washing.

  • How do I schedule?

Once a quote has been sent, there will be a non-refundable deposit that needs to be collected before work can be scheduled ($25 for jobs under $1,000 or $50 for jobs over $1,000). When this has been completed, a team member will contact you to schedule the power washing, window cleaning, or gutter cleaning.

  • What if I need to cancel?

We understand that things can happen, but a minimum of 48 hours notice is appreciated for any rescheduling or cancellations. If you cancel less than 48 hours before a scheduled service, your deposit will not be refunded.

Multiple cancellations/rescheduling requests can result in refusal of service. Reach out today to schedule your gutter cleaning or power washing service today.

  • What forms of payment are accepted?

At Shine Thru Inc, we accept cash, check, debit/credit cards & Venmo for our services, including power washing.

According to HomeAdvisor, homeowners typically spend between $295 and $622 on roof cleaning.

  • When is payment due?

Payment is due on the day of service, upon completion of the work. Reach out today to learn more about our services, including power washing and gutter cleaning.

  • Are you insured?

Yes, and a COI can be provided upon request. All requests must be submitted no later than a week before service. Contact us today to schedule your power washing service.

  • The crew has left, and I noticed something that needs to be touched up. What should I do?

Sometimes things can be missed or not done correctly. We’re not perfect, but we stand by our work 100%. Please contact us less than 48 hours after a job has been completed and we can arrange a time to come back and make it right. Sending pictures so we know what we’re looking for is also very helpful. We would be happy to answer any questions you have about our services, including gutter cleaning and power washing.

  • How do you clean the windows?

Pretty simple: a combination of soap, water, squeegees, and a water-fed pole system. The tech makes a decision upon arrival based on the multiple years of experience we all have. Reach out today to schedule your window cleaning or power washing service.

  • What if I have broken seals?

This is not something we can help with, but we can generally recommend someone in your area who can.

If you need power washing, window cleaning, or another one of our services, reach out today!

  • What if I have hard water stains?

We can help! Reach out to schedule a power washing service.

  • I just had some construction done at my home or business, and I have construction debris, stickers, and adhesive on my new glass. Can you help?

Sure! Contact us for thorough window cleaning.

  • Do I need to do anything to prepare for window cleaning?

Typically, no. We can work around furniture, but please remove any small items on your window sills or items stuck to the glass.

  • Do I need to have my screens off?

Screens only need to be removed prior to our arrival if we’re doing a cleaning on the outside only. If we’re cleaning inside and out, we’ll take care of screen removal.

  • Do I need to do anything to prepare for power washing?

We will require access to a functioning water source for each power or soft washing task. If you have a deck, porch, or patio that needs cleaning, please ensure that all belongings are cleared from these areas before we arrive.

  • What does gutter cleaning entail?

We clean out all gutter runs and all downspouts by hand or with leaf blowers.

  • I have a fall gutter cleaning scheduled, when can I expect you?

The season for gutter cleaning is extremely busy for us, and we do not offer specific appointment times for any gutter cleaning services. If you have a scheduled gutter cleaning, we can provide you with the week, and possibly the day, that we will be there, but we cannot offer a precise time. Since this work is done outdoors, you don’t need to be present during the service, and we can issue an invoice once the task is completed.

  • What type of leaf guards do you use?

We use milled aluminum leaf guards that are sourced locally.

  • How is it installed?

One portion of the leaf guard is positioned beneath the gutter's drip edge, while the opposite end is fastened to the gutter using zip screws.

  • Will I never have to clean my gutters again?

Yes. Leaf guards do not eliminate the need for gutter cleaning, but significantly reduce how often they need to be cleaned.

  • Why do I need my dryer vent cleaned?

Dryer vents should be cleaned regularly to improve efficiency, extend the lifespan, and reduce the risk of fire and carbon monoxide poisoning.

  • Do I need to do anything to prepare for dryer cleaning?

No, we simply need to access the dryer in order to run it for about 10-15 minutes after we clean out the vent.

  • I’m interested in holiday lights, but not sure what I want to have lit up. Can you help?

Of course! We work with you from start to finish to design a great look for any area of your home or business you want to illuminate for the holidays.

  • What does the price quoted include?

Our quote includes the design, any necessary materials, installation, maintenance throughout the holiday season, and the removal of the lights once the season concludes. Once the season ends, we also store the lights for you.

  • Do I own the lights?

No, your holiday lights are rented from Shine Thru.

  • Is a power source required?

At a minimum, one working exterior power outlet is required. More complicated designs may require multiple outlets.
